Banana Bread Bliss Balls
All the flavours of banana bread captured in an easy-to-whip-up bliss ball, perfect for snacking or a sweet healthy treat anytime.
Bananas are one of my favourite foods. They’re versatile, naturally sweet, and one of the most budget-friendly foods out there. Almost every time I go shopping I make sure to pick up a bunch – I like to stock up on bananas at all stages of ripeness so that I always have ripe bananas on hand!
With my love for bananas going strong, you would think that banana bread would be a staple in my household. But I hardly ever make it – possibly because it can feel like a lot of effort, or maybe because I haven’t found a super easy and healthy go-to recipe yet (though I’m working on one, so stay tuned!). For those times when I don’t want to wait for a loaf to bake up in the oven, I thought a recipe for a much quicker and easier option was in high order. Cue the bliss balls.
Have you tried making your own bliss balls? They’re super simple to make and are the perfect afternoon treat or post-dinner sweet! So, I was quite excited when Jakes Boost asked me to create a recipe using their Banana Boost Butter – you’ve likely heard me rave about this nut butter before. It’s honestly incredible (and I love it in these Banana Nut Butter Cookies)! I wanted to make something that highlighted the taste and texture of their nut butter, could be easily mixed up with just your hands (no food processor or blender necessary), and didn’t require any baking. Check, check, and check! The crunch of the freeze-dried banana pieces, plus the banana and peanut butter combo makes for one tasty treat. I hope you can whip up a batch soon!
