Vida Bakery Review
My Review of Vida Bakery – An all vegan and gluten-free bakery, with cakes, cupcakes, brownies, and other goodies baked fresh every morning; soft serve ice cream, and hot drinks.
Where: 139 Brick Lane, London E1 6SB
Website: www.facebook.com/vidabakery
Instagram: www.instagram.com/vidabakery
Checked Off My List: 24th June, 2018
Atmosphere:
This shop is the absolutely adorable. There are bright flowers all around, cute trinkets, sweet decorations, even the bathroom/toilet room is made up. And downstairs you can can also catch a glimpse into the kitchen and see the magic happen where the cakes are created!
When To Go:
I went for ice cream after brunching at Redemption (keep an eye out for that review!), and another weekend lunching at Planet Organic. It makes for the perfect sweet treat to cap off a meal and an outing with friends! You can also find Vida Bakery at many festivals and events, so be sure to pick up a piece of cake or a cupcake (or several) if you see them out and about!
My Shortlist:
- The Rainbow Cake – not only is it gorgeous (and very instagrammable), but it’s also delicious.
- Soft Serve Ice Cream – it’s creamy with a lovely texture, and if you want they’ll serve it in a cup with pieces of cake or brownie, plus sprinkles on top. The combination of cake and ice cream is classic and always so good.
- Any of the cupcakes – I’m slowly making my way through the many flavours, and each one has been delectable! It can be difficult to nail vegan and gluten-free baking (I struggle so much), but this place has done it.
- Dani and Vane – The ladies behind this business are amazing. I’ve only had the pleasure of meeting Dani, but she’s bubbly and sweet and makes every visit friendly and fun!
